Cartel Announces ‘Chroma’ Acoustic Video Series!

After an outstanding week of announcing the 10-year anniversary Chroma tour and vinyl, Cartel is thrilled to be partnering with AbsolutePunk for a unique video series. Over the next couple of weeks Cartel will be releasing a slew of stripped down versions of their favorite songs off the album. Today, fans can check out the exciting video for “If I Fail” with commentary from Kenneth Mount. Mount was instrumental in crafting this song with the band during the recording process. Cartel’s highly-anticipated 10 Year Anniversary Chroma tour is officially on sale for the general public at CartelChroma.com. The band announced last week they will be joined by Hit The Lights (East Coast only), TEAM*, and Driver Friendly officially kicking off April 9th in Minneapolis, MN at Mill City Nights. Pre-sale for the tour was a hit selling out in Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, and Los Angeles within minutes (additional tickets have been released to the public and are available now). In addition, the band announced their long-awaited band-approved edition of Chroma on vinyl via Field Day Records (also on sale now at CartelChroma.com). The official release features include 180g double vinyl, a first pressing of white vinyl, and a gate fold in die-cast slip. Only 1000 copies were made for the initial pressing.

The September 2005 pop punk debut album (produced/engineered by Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount)powered by the melodic hits of “Say Anything (Else)” and “Honestly” catapulted Cartel’s career in the music world. In its first week of release,it sold over 3,000 copies, debuted #1 on Soundscan’s Alternative New Artist Charts, and hit #2 on Billboard’s Heatseeker chart. The band grew in popularity earning them a deal with Epic Records and tours with New Found Glory, The Early November and Hit The Lights. Chroma was re-released in June 2006 which included new artwork and a 3-song live EP entitled Live Dudes with an updated version of “Save Us,” featuring the entire band backing Pugh on piano. Chroma has sold over 250,000 copies since its release.

keaton stromberg tyler caseEarlier today, Keaton Stromberg, of Emblem3, and his friend Tyler Case let it out on Twitter that they were working on a video project. Nobody had any idea what was in store for them until these two presented the first episode of their hilarious new video series, TK.

According to Keaton’s description on YouTube, “TK (Tyler & Keaton) is a very magical place with awesomeness and stuff.” Well, it’s a place with awesomeness all right!

Zendaya & Zink Coleman Featured In Teen Vogue’s “Besties” — Watch Now!

teen vogueIn Teen Vogue’s latest “Besties” videos, they feature Disney Channel’s Zapped star Zendaya and her best friend – and niece – Zink Coleman.

Follow the two best friends as they chill out together for a great afternoon getting manicures. In the first “Besties”, Zendaya and Zink speak out about their friendship, get their manis and show off some sweet nail art. The second is the two continuing to get their manis while playing best friend tag in which they answer some questions asked by you on Twitter. The third and final “Besties” features Teen Vogue playing a round of Word Association with them.

Cody Simpson’s New Web Series ‘XVII’ Official Trailer – Watch Now! @codysimpson

codyAs you may already know, Cody Simpson has teamed up with AwesomenessTV for his new web series. After Cody’s “Paradise Series,” we are super excited for what his next web series will bring. What’s even more exciting is Cody now has an official trailer for the new online series! The trailer, titled XVII, is going to be based off of his birthday. XVII stands for the number seventeen and this star is turning 17 years old tomorrow and he will be documenting his 17th year!

Last year with his Paradise Series, Cody gave us a look at his life on the road, meeting fans and time in the studio so we can’t wait to see what this one will give us a look at. AwesomenessTV released the trailer with a sneak peek of what it will be with the description:

“Cody kicks off his acoustic tour this year! We’ll get the inside scoop on his day to day life! We’ll see him celebrate his 17th birthday, hang out on the tour bus, chill with his mates and meet lots of #Angels/Simponizers!”

Cody Simpson Plans To Team Up With AwesomenessTV In 2014

Cody Simpson filmed an online video series last year called the “Paradise Series” while on the Welcome To Paradise Tour and Believe Tour. Once the tours came to an end he decided to stop the weekly video series.

Now this year Cody Simpson has a new videographer and is planning on starting up a new series with his Acoustic Sessions tour starting in a few days. For this years online series Cody is planning on working with AwesomenessTV.
