Taylor Swift, Proud Friend Alert!

friends
There’s nothing sweeter than seeing best friends supporting one another. Such is the case of Taylor Swift and one of her BFF’s Ed Sheeran. Ed performed on Saturday Night Live (SNL) the other night and Taylor came out to support him on this special occasion. What a great friendship!

Taylor took to Instagram last night to share some fun photos from that night with her IG followers saying, “PROUD FRIEND ALERT!” Do you think another Tswift and Ed duet could be in our future?

Ed Sheeran Performs “Sing” + Premieres “Don’t” From Upcoming Album ‘X’ On ‘SNL’ — Watch Now!

With a little support from bestie Taylor Swift who showed up to watch his performance and make a cameo in host Seth Rogen’s monologue while she was at it, Ed Sheeran took the Saturday Night Live stage for the first time last night (April 12) — and he completely killed it!

Ed took the risk of performing new material from his upcoming album X (pronounced “multiply”), especially when the sound is different than what people have come to expect from the British singer-songwriter. He kicked off with his new Pharrell-produced single “Sing” (listen to the studio version here!) and followed it up with the premiere of a never-before-heard song entitled “Don’t” which had a similar sing-rap flow and gave a good indication that “Sing” won’t be an anomaly on an otherwise traditional release — this is a whole new Ed Sheeran, people!

Watch both performances in the video below now and let us know what you think of the new sound and especially the newest song! We can’t get enough!

Why Did Taylor Swift Magically Appear During Seth Rogen’s ‘SNL’ Monologue? Watch Now + Find Out!

We had no doubts that Taylor would show up backstage to support BFF Ed Sheeran on his Saturday Night Live debut as tonight’s musical guest (psst, watch his performances of “Sing” and the never-before-heard “Don’t” here), but we had no idea that host Seth Rogen’s monologue would cause her to magically appear on stage!Seth used his monologue to read from some supposed journal entries he kept this week, all about the process leading up to his third time hosting the iconic sketch-comedy show on NBC. Along the way, he gets visits from his “sister” Beth, a little help from Zooey Deschanel, has a run-in with buddy James Franco in the aftermath of a prank, and, when he begins to be upset about being upstaged by all the cameos… Taylor joins the trio on stage!

“Why are you here?” Rogen demands, a question which Taylor repeats, surprised, as if the answer is obvious. “You’re getting really upset,” she replies. “And whenever a man shows emotion, I appear!”

Watch the whole monologue in the video below now — or skip to 4:25 to see Taylor get some laughs and get to announce Ed as the musical guest for the night!
