Miley Cyrus To Return To MTV Video Music Awards 2014

Nearly a year after her controversial performance with Robin Thicke, the “Wrecking Ball” singer is set to return to the MTV Music Video Awards.

A rep for MTV confirms that Miley will be in attendance at this year’s awards.

The 2014 show will open with a performance of “Bang, Bang” with Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. Taylor Swift is also on the schedule as is Beyoncé, who is receiving the Video Vanguard Award.

Sam Smith will make his U.S. award show debut with his hit song “Stay With Me.”

Taylor Swift will have a busy next couple of weeks with a very tight and busy schedule. On top of The Giver having come out yesterday (August 15th) that she starred in, and a surprise song coming out fairly soon, Taylor Swift has a lot more things, too.

Late last night, singer Taylor Swift made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in New York City where she chatted with Jimmy. However, during the interview, Taylor decided to make a big confirmation to her fans and on TV! Taylor confirmed that she will be in fact performing at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 24, 2014.
