Galvanized Souls Hit 100,000 In Less Than 1 Month

CarryOnbig_78

Galvanized Souls’ latest video for their single, CARRY ON, continues to climb into the hearts and minds of rock enthusiasts, surpassing 100,000 views on Youtube in less than one month.  Currently the video is now over 110,635 views.

“We’re stoked!” says Zakk Silveira, lead singer of Galvanized Souls. “The video for CARRY ON seems to be striking a chord with everyone who listens to it. We wanted to create a video that would inspire people to rise above bullying and hardship and carry on – and the message seems to be finding its way to all kinds of people, young and old.  This is a message everyone can relate to.”

The video is based on the story of an 11 year old boy from Michigan, named ColinIn a Detroit suburb on February 2, 2014, Jennifer Cunningham created a Facebook page to help her wish her son a Happy 11th Birthday.  Like so many kids, Colin suffered from bullying every day at school and didn’t have any friends to invite to his birthday party.  The world responded, and over 2 million Facebook friends later, GMA threw Colin a surprise birthday.

When Galvanized Souls heard about Colin through Facebook, they completely identified with him as they had experienced the same kind of bullying Colin did for being different.  They sent over an MP3 of CARRY ON to Colin and a few weeks later, they were shooting the video that traced Colin through a bully experience all too familiar to so many people.

Galvanized Souls are celebrating a phenomenally successful month with a multitude of features including USA Today, Detroit Free Press and Guitar World.

Dani Shay Releases “Chasing Madness” A Cory Monteith Inspired Acoustic Track

Listen/Purchase “Chasing Madness”: http://bit.ly/ChasingMadness

While gearing up for a highly-anticipated brand new album, singer/songwriter Dani Shay has decided to release a few acoustic tracks, exclusively through Jammer.FM, to hold people over. The first in the series is “Chasing Madness” a track written by Dani after hearing Cory Monteith, one of GLEE’s lead actors, had passed away. “Chasing Madness” also pays tribute to Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Heath Ledger, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson and more.

From Dani Shay: “I wrote “Chasing Madness” last July when I heard about Cory. I had just met him a few months prior [on the set of Glee], and could not believe that this tragically common story of ‘young-fame-leading-to-an-early-death’ had repeated itself with someone so close to home. As my heart broke for Lea Michelle and Cory’s friends and family, my mind also filled with questions about my own involvement in the so-called ‘entertainment industry.’ This song is dedicated to Cory and all the other brilliant beings that our world has lost too soon.”

We hope you’ll share this bit of hope with your readers!

Tour Dates:
July 29th – Online Concert via StageIt
August 23 – Los Angeles, CA – Amplyfi

Cody Simpson — Back Again For The First Time

Cody Simpson

Cody Simpson was home for the holidays with sister Ali Simpson in their native country of Australia, but its back to work for the pop singer — his tour kicks off on January 10th in Santa Ana, CA. His trip back to the States isn’t going to be all business, he posted a “selfie” on Twitter today with his luggage — and oddly one of them was shaped like a surfboard.

Prior to that he tweeted, “going to miss home so much but it’s cool to be back in the land of California”. We know you’ll miss home, and if you get homesick there are plenty of “Simponsizers” here that will keep you company.

Check out Cody’s fun selfie and let us know which concert you’re going to go see.
