GIRL MEETS WORLD – “Girl Meets Home for the Holidays” – It’s Christmas at the Matthews, and Cory’s best friend Shawn Hunter, Riley’s grandparents, and Uncle Joshua are coming over for a holiday dinner.

Meanwhile, Topanga works on executing the perfect meal to put her mother-in-law at ease while Shawn sees his likeness in Maya and forms a bond with her and Riley.

Guest starring are Rider Strong as Shawn Hunter, Betsy Randle as Amy Matthews, William Russ as Alan Matthews and Uriah Shelton as Joshua Matthews. Premieres Friday, December 5 (8:00 p.m.) on Disney Channel.

Rowan Blanchard Sends Her “Boo”-Day Wishes To Ben Savage — See Here!

Today is Ben Savage’s birthday and Rowan Blanchard, his co-star of Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World, share this picture (above) on Instagram with the caption:

“Happy birthday to one of my favorite and funniest people in this world, @bensavage you are so amazing and I love you Gunther! Hope your day is filled with roast suckling pig and fish and chips. 😊🎉”

But the picture isn’t the only thing Rowan shared with everybody. The young Disney star wanted to celebrate Ben’s birthday as well with a funny clip of her scaring him while on their trip in London. She says with the video:

Disney Channel stars from Disney’s new hit show Girl Meets World, Rowan Blanchard and Ben Savage, traveled to Madrid, Spain to promote the original series which is also a spin off Ben’s former series Boy Meets World. The series also stars Sabrina Carpenter and Danielle Fishel, but it was only Rowan and Ben who traveled to Spain.

‘Girl Meets World’ First Look: Opening Credits Watch NOW!!

Disney Channel has released the first opening credits to the much anticipated show Girl Meets World.  the spinoff show of Boy Meets World picks right back up with Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel reprising their roles as Corey and Topanga, now as parents, with their 12-year-old daughter Riley played by Rowan Blanchard. Rowan sings the opening song “Take On The World”.

Disney Channel has released the first official trailer for it’s brand new show Girl Meets World. The long-awaited Boy Meets World spin-off will make its debut this summer — no official date has been set. The cast features two of the original cast members Ben Savage as Cory Matthews, Danielle Fishel as Topanga Matthews, along with new additions Rowan Blanchard as Riley Matthews, Peyton Meyer as Lucas Friar, August Maturo as Auggie Matthews, Sabrina Carpenter as Maya Hart and Corey Fogelmanis as Shamus Farkle.

“Girl Meets World” Hits It Big Before Premiere

Girl-Meets-World_612x380Great news for “Boy Meets World” fans! The “Girl Meets World” spin-off of the classic series has been given a full season by Disney Channel before its anticipated premiere. The spin-off stars “Boy Meets World” cast members Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel.

“Girl Meets World” is the continuation of Cory and Topanga’s story. It revolves around the views of Cory and Topanga’s daughter, Riley while also giving “Boy Meets World” fans a glimpse at their favorite television couple as parents. Young Riley will be played by newcomer Rowan Blanchard.

A premiere date for the series has yet to be announced though star Danielle Fishel could not contain her excitement over being picked up for a full season.

Disney Channel To Premiere “Girl Meets World” In 2014

girlmeetsworldThe Disney Channel is moving forward in 2014 to bring us a new series called “Girl Meets World“.

Girl Meets World” is a sequel to the early 90’s sitcom “Boy Meets World” which followed the lives of Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence. Now, the new series will centers around Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga’s (Danielle Fishel) daughter, Riley Matthews as she goes through life in middle school where her father is a teacher and her mother owns an after school hangout.

Disney Channels Worldwide executive vice president Adam Bonnett said, “Boy Meets World and its story of adolescent self-discovery resonated with an entire generation of tweens. In the same way audiences fell in love with Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence, we look forward to introducing our viewers to their daughter, Riley Matthews … and building a memorable connection with a whole new generation of fans.

The cast of the series will include so far:

Rowan Blanchard as Riley Phillips
Sabrina Carpenter as Maya Hart
Danielle Fishel as Topanga Matthews
Ben Savage as Cory Matthews
Peyton Meyer as Tristan Friar

Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter), Will Friedle (Eric Matthews) and William Daniels (George Feeney) are also rumored to appear as special guests on the series as well.

According to sources, including the “Girl Meets World” twitter site, the series will premiere sometime in 2014, though an official premiere date is still in question.
