Hilary Duff’s TV Land Pilot ‘Younger’ Ordered To Series — Get The Details + See The First Promo Pic!

Exactly three months ago, we brought you the exciting news that Hilary Duff had landed a starring role opposite Sutton Foster on the TV Land pilot Younger, based on the novel of the same title by Pamela Redmond Satran and written and executive produced for TV by Sex and the City creator Darren Starr. Today, we’re thrilled to tell you that the show has been ordered to series by the network for a 12-episode first season!

According to the Deadline, the single-camera comedy series “follows 40-year-old Liza (Foster), a suddenly single mother who tries to get back into the working world, only to find out it’s nearly impossible to start at the bottom at her age. When a chance encounter with a 20-something guy at a bar convinces her she looks younger than she is, Liza tries to pass herself off as 26 – with the help of a makeover, courtesy of her best friend Maggie (Debi Mazar). Armed with new confidence, she lands a job as an assistant to the temperamental Diana (Miriam Shor) and teams up with her new co-worker and fellow 20-something Kelsey (Duff) to make it in the career of her dreams.”

In the announcement today, TV Land’s president Larry W. Jones told Deadline: “Younger’s serialized style is different for us, yet fits our brand with its humor and relatability. Everyone at TV Land is so passionate about this show and working with Darren.”

We can’t wait to hear when Hilary will be back on our televisions again full-time! What about you? Will you be tuning in?
